200 years of the Jamaica Letter (Posted 2015)
The so-called “Jamaica Letter” was written in 1815 by Latin American independence leader, Simon Bolivar in Kingston. In the document, Bolivar elaborates more broadly on his political theories to explain the causes for the fall of the Second Republic of Venezuela, and encourages America’s struggle for independence.
